Award-winning faculty members teach courses to over 800 Virginia Tech students each year.
Students can major in Women's & Gender Studies with a degree option currently in IDST and available soon in Sociology for 2013 grads.
Many students choose to minor in Women's & Gender Studies because our programs complement so many other majors.
We also offer a 9-hour Graduate Certificate--an interdisciplinary, cross-cultural study of gender in social structure, history, culture, and technology.
Our biannual conference on Gender, Bodies, and Technology

Central to the mission of Women's & Gender Studies at Virginia Tech is the empowerment of women, in both the academy and our larger society.
